Interested in Joining the Boonton Fire Department in 2024?
Requirements to Join
To join the Department, the following requirements must be met:
A Citizen of the United States of America
Resident of the Town of Boonton for at least six months prior to application
Between the age of 18 and under 41 years of age
Have the desire and dedication to help others
Required to have a Background Check
After joining, will be expected to do the following:
Be on probation for one year
You are expected to attend at least 50% of alarms, drills and meetings for the first 7 years
Complete a Firefighter 1 course at a training academy
After joining, the fire department you will do the following:
Provided ongoing training
Outfit you with NFPA and OSHA compliant turnout gear
Insure your life and health during alarms and drills
